The Santa Monica Aquarium

Today I accompanied Molly on a school field trip to the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. We took the big school bus, sat next to her friend Avery, and sang lots of songs on the way. "Wheels on the Bus" was a big hit and we sang it over and over and over, occasionally substituting "If You're Happy and You Know It." The staff at the aquarium was amazing, helping the kids safely touch squishy sea cucumbers and spiky sea stars. Each kid even got a book on sea animals! Yes, they do birthday parties. After all the fun, and plenty of Purell, we had lunch on the beach and chased birds before heading home for nap time.
