Open House at Fire Station 88
On our way out of our favorite breakfast breakfast joint, Nat's Early Bite, we ran into a gaggle of fire fighters who reminded us that it was open house day at all the stations. Molly spent the next ten minutes running up and down the length of their engine which was parked on the street, pointing out the ladder and hats and such. We finally got her away with the promise of seeing some friends and more engines in just a little bit.The kids couldn't believe their luck. They got pint-sized fire helmets and got to climb in the fire engines and even wear headphones and real helmets. We heard a helicopter would be landing eventually and that fire dogs would be on show, but nap time was calling.
