So smart, she can read upside down!
It's been a while and so there's lots to report. At 15 months Molly is 24.5 lbs. and 32/5 inches tall. She's a mini giant and super healthy. She already has 15 teeth and I know that last one is on it's way. At least there's enough drool to lubricate the mouth of a teething shark. Molly runs all over the place and is starting to climb things. We got her a Molly sized chair to discourage her from climbing to and jumping from the glider in her room. It only sort of works, but how cute is she! Molly's also learned to sign "tired," though "milk" is still her favorite and "all done" is a pretty useful. We're trying to teach her "hurt" and "help." The most fun is all her new words. She still uses some old favorites like dog, duck, diaper, dada, mama, and apple, but she's also picked up a few new ones. Water, yaya (cherios), cheese, JJ (any stuffed animal), baba (we don't know what that is, but she says it all the time), I got this (really, I swear she does), iced tea, ice, book (that's my girl!), and ball. There may be a few others too, and there are a couple of phrases that stand for "What's this?" and "that" but they are spelled in Klingon and our keyboard can't handle it.
As you can see from the photos Molly and I had a great Spring Break..Woohoo! road trip to Fresno to visit with Grandma and Grandpa, and then to San Jose to spend some time with Andrea, Jason, and Eric. Molly and Eric had a great time playing at the Children's Discovery Museum. Molly loves anything to do with water. Grandma taught her about water fountains, and now we can't pass one without taking a sip. After San Jose we moved on to Berkeley and were joined by Damian to spend the next few days with friends Gabe and BJ. We put Molly to work picking oranges from their tree. She had nearly as much fun dancing with BJ and watching Gabe shave (for some reason immensely fascinating). We were exhausted, but had so much fun we can't wait to do it again!
But our new favorite Molly trick is blowing her nose--yes into a tissue! She also likes to pretend to sneeze which is suuuper cute.
